Topic: ‘The Mineralogical Blue$’
Open to all.
Nature doesn’t give us much in the way of “true blues”, but it does give us some, especially when it comes to gems & minerals. Other blues are the result of impurities and inclusions in gemstones. Still other blues are illusory, the result of optical “trickery”. David Bellamy will present “The Mineralogical Blue$” which will show the ways by which blue gemstones have their blueness, whether it is true blue or not, and into manufactured blues, which can be a source of fraud.
