Karen Howard FCGmA, RMV, CAP-CJA (retired), IMJVA, has 40 years of retail sales experience and over 30 years as a gemmologist. Her appraisal business, KC Appraisals, operated from 2002 to 2024.Karen has been passionate about educating others in the gem world for 25+ years and is a past instructor and board member for the CGA. Currently, she focuses on her new venture, Jewellery Appraisers Coach, where she helps new appraisers with consulting on identi6cation, ethics, and business development, addressing the gap in training for building a successful appraisal business.
