There’s a long history and a deep fascination with gems that show stars and cat’s eyes. There are a few gems that we regularly associate with chatoyancy and asterism, sapphires, rubies, and chrysoberyl, for example. However, there are dozens of gems that may exhibit the mobile bright reflections that make the gems so fascinating. We will explore the common and less common of the star and cat’s eye gems that we might enjoy having our collections.
