An excellent exhibit of revival jewellery at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston has sparked an ever greater interest in revival jewellery. Jennifer will be discussing various types of revival jewellery, why this jewellery was popular in the 19th century and who were some of the prominent jewellers of the time. We will examine photos of many examples of both revival jewellery and some of the ancient pieces that inspired the revitalization of certain techniques, imagery and motifs
